HMI panel C6 X1 from KEB offers maximum flexibility
New Web HMI with IP67 available in four sizes
KEB Automation launched the new Web HMI C6 X1. The panel can be flexibly attached anywhere on the machine with various mounting options. This eliminates the need for mounting on the control cabinet, which is often required, and allows users to position the HMI freely near the machine. The IP67-certified panel is available in four different sizes.
The Web HMI C6 X1 is equipped with capacitive multi-touch. It can be installed anywhere in the environment of the machine according to the individual requirements of the plant and machine manufacturer. One advantage here is the particularly simple connectivity of the devices, as the panel supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). The costs for the usually more complex cabling can therefore be reduced. The possibility of installing the Web HMI outside the control cabinet is also favoured by the high IP67 protection class, which enables use in an extended temperature range of -20 degrees to +55 degrees Celsius without an additional housing. Users can choose between four different sizes: 7", 10.1", 15.6" or 21.5".
“Our new Web HMI C6 X1 stands for absolute versatility in use. The ideal panel size can be found for every machine. Different mounting types and the particularly slim design ensure that the devices can be easily integrated into existing systems,” says Benjamin Mönnig, Head of Application Sales at KEB.
The HMI systems have a Linux operating system and are equipped with a Chromium-based HTML5 browser. This makes them ideal for IIoT edge applications in industry. Plant and machine builders are thus provided with all the basic requirements for the future of digital manufacturing and can benefit from the advantages of Industry 4.0. “Thanks to the innovative technical concept, the Web HMIs are designed for long-term availability. This means that hardware updates will also be possible in the future without changing the form, fit or function of the C6 X1,” says Mönnig.
In combination with tools such as HELIO, the C6 X1 can be used to create an innovative visualisation system. HELIO is an HMI management system that allows users to create intuitive HMIs quickly and easily. Thanks to modern web technology, these are truly responsive and independent of platforms and end devices. The HMI management system provides templates that already include professional interface design "out-of-the-box". Users only have to configure and no longer have to programme themselves.
