WORM GEAR UNITS/WORM GEARED MOTORS

Series S_D… / S_TA…

Worm gear units are used when a high level of gear ratio is required in a compact design. They are also known as angular gear units due to their rectangular arrangement. They are suitable, for example, for applications with slow movements such as mixers and, at the same time, are robust and emit a low noise level. KEB’s modular systems offer the possibility of arranging worm gear units which convert torque values between 55 Nm and 1,000 Nm, with a motor power from 0.12 kW to 7.5 kW.

Gear units in a rectangular arrangement and high reduction ratio in a compact design

KEB’s S gear units can be equipped with motor adapters meeting different standards, or with free input shafts, in place of the motor.
Possible motor adapters for:

  • IEC motors
  • NEMA motors
  • Servo motors

Highlights

  • Different output shafts and housing versions
  • Double-sided output shaft possible
  • Reinforced bearing
  • Improved sealing
