AEF Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation

The AEF is an independent organisation that was founded in 2008 by seven international agricultural machinery manufacturers and two associations. Its objectives include improving the cross-manufacturer compatibility of electronic and electric components in agricultural equipment, and ensuring transparency on matters of compatibility. Introducing international electronic standards is a further cornerstone of the organisation’s collaborative work.

BSFZ seal for research and development

The seal of the Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungszulage (BSFZ) is proof of the innovative competence of companies. The seal is awarded to companies whose research and development projects have been deemed eligible for funding within the meaning of the so-called research grant law by a confirmation of the BSFZ. KEB Automation received the seal for the high-performance COMBIPERM P2 permanent magnet brake and the development of a spring-applied brake for servo motors that is stable in terms of temperature and friction.

CEMEP (European Committee of Manufactures of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics)

KEB is a member of the European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics (CEMEP). Eleven national associations and individual companies belong to the organisation. CEMEP sees itself as the leading voice of the European industry for electric motors, variable frequency drives and uninterruptible power supplies. The organisation's objectives include promoting the technical, industrial, social, economic and environmental needs of its members. Its core tasks include the representation of interests, cooperation and technical standardisation positions.  Overall, CEMEP represents an industry with a market value of more than 22 billion euros and around 200,000 employees.

CIIT Centrum Industrial IT

The CIIT is Germany’s first science-to-business centre in the field of industrial automation. Partners from business, science and research create access to expert knowledge. Work on innovations is carried out in joint research and transfer projects. The CIIT provides a platform for relevant issues of digitisation and automation technology.

EPLAN efficient engineering.

EPLAN Software & Service develops CAE solutions and advises companies on optimising their engineering processes. Customers benefit from increased efficiency in the product development process through standardised procedures, automated operations and integrated workflows. EPLAN provides custom-made concepts for system implementation and installation, as well as smooth integration into the IT/PLM system landscape – based on standard engineering solutions. The range of services also includes customising, consulting and training. The development of individual and standardised interfaces for ERP, PDM and PLM ensures data consistency in product development. Consistent customer focus, global support, innovative development and interface expertise are some of its success factors. Forschungsvereinigung Antriebstechnik e. V.

The Forschungsvereinigung Antriebstechnik e. V. (Drive Technology Research Association) or FVA for short, is the world’s largest drive technology research and innovation network. To date over 2,000 projects have been implemented in collaboration with companies and research institutes. The FVA's goal is to advance drive technology by bringing industry and research together. The research association sees itself as a promoter of innovation in the industry, exploring new knowledge and creating efficiency and insights.

CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE – THE FUTURE: COMPANIES IN LIPPE

“The future: companies in Lippe” is a joint local initiative of the Lippe-Detmold Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Lippe employer’s association and the Lippe Junior Chamber. Some of the goals behind the initiative include making business more tangible and approachable, creating understanding and strengthening the region’s image.

Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA)

The Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) is the central contact point for the Digital Twin – an alliance of active developers who work together on the standardisation of the Industrial Digital Twin. It provides the necessary specifications for the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) and creates as well as harmonises the sub-models of the administration shell for the Industrial Digital Twin.

inIT - Institut für industrielle Informationstechnik

The Institut für industrielle Informationstechnik (Institute for Industrial Information Technology, short: inIT) at the East Westphalia Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts is one of the leading research institutes in the field of industrial information technology. The institute brings the high demands of automation technology into line with information and communication technologies. The institute’s areas of expertise include industrial communication, image processing and authentication, computer intelligence and human-technology interaction. Over 160 bilateral and publicly subsidised research projects have been carried out at the inIT to date.

ISG - TwinStore Community

KEB Automation is a member of ISG TwinStore – a digital exchange platform for component and systems suppliers, as well as for system operators. Component models, templates and interfaces are available in the TwinStore. This enables users of simulation tools to perform modelling and high-quality simulation for virtual design, validation, and commissioning.

“IT'S OWL” TECHNOLOGY NETWORK

In the “it’s OWL” technology network, around 200 companies, research institutes and organisations develop solutions for the digital transformation of SMEs. The network develops solutions for intelligent products and manufacturing processes. “It’s OWL” is considered to be one of the largest Industry 4.0 initiatives for SMEs and was awarded a prize in the German government’s Leading-Edge Cluster competition.

Open Direct Current Alliance (ODCA)

The Open Direct Current Alliance (ODCA) was founded by ZVEI with 33 companies from industry, academia and research. In light of the fact that direct current makes an important contribution to the success of the energy transition, the goal of the working group is to build a worldwide direct current ecosystem and to establish direct current technology.

OSADL - Open Source Automation Development Lab

The Open Source Automation Development Lab (OSADL) aims to promote and coordinate the development of open source software for mechanical and plant engineering and for the automation industry. The registered cooperative represents the interests of mechanical engineers, automation hardware and software manufacturers, and open source software service providers.

OWL Maschinenbau

KEB Automation is a member of OWL Maschinenbau. Smart Factory OWL

Smart Factory is a joint institution of Fraunhofer IOSB-INA and the East Westphalia Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lemgo. Research, qualification and the transfer to digital industry technologies provide the foundations of the Smart Factory, which functions as a real laboratory for Industry 4.0 in East Westphalia Lippe. It offers companies and research institutions opportunities and services to work together on designing the factory of the future.

VDMA

With more than 3,500 members, the Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e. V. (German Engineering Federation, short: VDMA) is the largest network organisation for mechanical engineering in Germany and Europe and represents the interests of this industry. The topics covered by the VDMA range from digitalisation and Industry 4.0 to research, innovation and technology.
