Ralf Guenther is Managing Director of KEB Antriebstechnik
The KEB Group is reorganising the management of its gearmotor subsidiary: Ralf Guenther has been Managing Director of KEB Antriebstechnik in Schneeberg (Saxony) since March. In his role, he is responsible for sales and development. Together with Stephan Weitkamp, Managing Director for Operations and IT, the Jena-based drive expert forms the new management duo.

“KEB Automation is a respected brand with strong products. In order to further expand our position as a provider of integrated solutions, motors are a decisive factor,” says Ralf Guenther. “The products are high-quality and efficient, and we will communicate this even more proactively with customers and in the market.” In addition to digital products such as NOA and HELIO, the 47-year-old sees KEB's motor division as a literal driver: ”The motors are ideally matched to the F6 and S6 Drive Controllers. Together with the new IIoT and software options, we have an end-to-end automation solution that is second to none.”
Most recently, Ralf Guenther worked as Head of Business Development Global for a leading supplier of components, modules and systems for the elevator industry. In previous roles, the industrial engineer gained international sales experience in the Middle East, Asia and India, among other places. The keen swimmer says: “At KEB Antriebstechnik, I can bring all of this experience together, further develop the business areas and position the company in a contemporary and more digital way.” His co-managing director Stephan Weitkamp adds: “I look forward to working closely with Ralf Guenther and I am convinced that we will achieve our growth targets for 2030 by reorganising the management team.”

Thomas Brinkmann, CEO and shareholder of the KEB Group, adds: “Ralf Guenther is a proven drive expert. With him in Schneeberg and together with our Italian motor colleagues from Brusatori, we have a strong and future-oriented team. In addition, we are increasing the integration with our electronics and brake divisions in order to consolidate our position as a solution provider for mechanical engineering and the ‘KEB Automation’ brand.”
As a well-known provider of automation technology, the KEB Group offers complete solutions for state-of-the-art machines and systems. Plastic processing machines, recycling, wood processing, process technology and intralogistics, as well as wind energy and e-mobility: KEB is the source for a complete solution from IIoT and HMIs to controls and drives to motors and brakes. KEB Antriebstechnik in Schneeberg employs around 160 people, and gearboxes and motors are manufactured at the Saxon plant.
